I thought this would be an appropriate first post on our new family blog. Madeline just turned three! We had a fun family party, with pizza and cake. Maddie had very specific instructions for her cake - PINK, SPRINKLES, and DORA, BOOTS & SWIPER. I couldn't find Dora cake decorations, so my Aunt Teresa made these fun little toppers for Maddie's cake. It was even cuter in person. I made a three layer yellow cake with pink icing. I love making layer cakes! I will post a picture of my first attempt at a layer cake in the next post. It was for Mother's Day last year and it was quite spectacular, if I do say so.
